The Barn

The
Barn provides ideal self catering holiday accommodation for a couple in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District. It
is usually let with the Farm House, providing a combined sleeping capacity of ten, but it can be booked on its own in
low season or on a last minute basis. If you do book the Barn on its own, you might find the owners staying in the
house - who are a fount of information about local walks, food, shopping, swimming and bilberries! - otherwise, you
will be on your own here.

Like the Farm House, the Barn has retained all of its original features and character. It makes a very spacious and
unusual place for two to stay. Our guests come here again and again.
The ground floor has a comfortable sitting room with a log stove; a separate dining room; a kitchen; and a cosy
double bedroom with an ensuite shower room.
Upstairs, reached by external stone steps, is a recreation room with a three-quarter size snooker table, piano and
library.
Round the Barn are the sheltered stone yards, complete with mossy old feeding troughs, where the pigs once rootled
about.
